Radford Lake to Bickleigh

This first of the 15 walks is about 6 miles and starts at Radford lake next to Radford Castle folly. It will take you initially on a disused railway track out to the roundabout at the start of Pomphlett road. You will then walk up to and through the National Trust Saltram estate before returning via Stag Lodge and Wixenford road. Then going through Plymstock, passing a Neolithic barrow, back to Radford Dip where you will have parked your car.

To make the link with the next walk there is a short excursion of about half a mile which if you want you could do from walk 2.

The walk is about 3.5 miles and is an easy walk using the Sculpture trail up to Plymbridge halt and then back along the river Plym. You will cross underneath the Marsh Mills Flyover and see all the concrete art or graffiti on the pillars. This is the first of the 3 walks that make use of the cycle track between Clearbrook and Plympton.

This 4.5 mile walk takes you along the very edge of the river Plym and back in a southerly direction on the West Devon Way then through some delightful woodland using the ancient Dartmoor Tramway. For part of the way you will be sharing the walk with cyclist on the Clearbrook to Plympton cycle track (route 27)
