Harford Bridge to Lake

Walk 10 About 6 miles but there is a shortcut of just 3 miles

Harford Bridge (Peter Tavy) to Mary Tavy

On this walk you can chose to do the shortcut or go and visit the antiquities on White tor. This walk starts at Peter Tavy as there is not a lot of parking at Harford Bridge. The short walk to Mary Tavy and back is an excellent one hour ramble with no significant hills. Adding in the the White tor loop makes a 6 mile walk which passes Victorian mine workings Bronze age settlements and Stephens Grave.

Walk 11  7.5 miles

Mary Tavy church to Lydford

On this walk you will straddle the A386 visiting initially Gibbet hill on the west side and then Wheal Jewell on the east side. You are quite close to the National Trust Lydford Gorge which could be incorporated to make a full day out.

Walk 12 7.6 miles

Lydford to Lake

This walk misses out a not particularly interesting 1.5 miles of road to start opposite the Castle Inn in Lydford.  You will walk on a boat but not see any water then on the route of a railway but not see any trains. You will see the King Wall and Nodden Gate and walk where Saxons first walked 1200 years ago.
