10 Tamar Valley walks
The 10 walks start at Cargreen and straddle the Tamar all the way up to Sydenham Damerel
The last walk is a lovely day out walking from one bridge crossing to the next and back.

Walk 1 Cargreen to Landulph 3.5 miles
It’s only a short walk but it does introduce you to the River Tamar where you may be able to walk along the foreshore if the tide is out. Don’t forget your binoculars.
Walk 2 Bere Ferrers 6.75 miles The second walk takes you around the lower part of the Bere Peninsular and although it starts in a different place it is the same as Tamar Tavy Tracks and Trains walk. There is an excursion to the foreshore at Thorn point on the Devon side.
Walk 3 The Silver mines 4 or 6 miles A walk that will take you up one silver lode and back down another visiting, either by passing through or looking over the hedge, 6 of the mines
Walk 4 Cotehele and Calstock 4 or 7 miles This cornish walk will take you along the river bank and up to the Roman Fort and back down via the old mineral railway. There is an optional 4 mile loop to Cotehele.
Walk 5 Morwellham 4.5 miles This walk will take you through the mining village of Morwellham and along the mine railway to the deserted village of Newquay. You could if you wish start at The Ship Inn in Morwellham and make use of their facilities when you return.
Walk 6 Gunnislake Mines and Manure 5 miles Also a cornish walk that takes you along the west side of the river and past the mines which were one of the last to stop production.
Walk 7 Devon Great Consoles 3.5 or 5.5 miles A walk entirely using the Tamar Trails to see some awe inspiring mining scenery, buildings, spoil heaps and ponds.
Walk 8 Luckett 4 miles A delightful fairly short walk again through mining country mostly on paths but with some minor road walking.
Walk 9 Sydenham Damerel 5 miles This walk will take you near to the most northerly of the mines and through the village of Sydenham Damerel and the hamlet of Townlake
Walk 10 Horsebridge to New bridge 9.3 miles The last in the series takes you from Horsebridge down the west bank of the river to New bridge on the edge of Gunnislake and back up the east bank passing through the Tamar Trails using hardly any of the previous 9 walk routes.
